matching 401(k) plan - we match 17% of your contributions- Employee stock purchase plan - we match 10% of your purchaseGo to www.Nucor.com/benefits to learn more!**What You'll Do**- Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards.- Qualify as a key member of our QCU (Quality Control Unit), ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.- Ensure adherence to FDA compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and UIG's internal quality systems.- Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment. Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action.- Stay current with QMS (Quality Management System) updates, process-related procedures, and training to uphold regulatory and company standards.- Use quality assurance tools and equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs, ensuring accurate and reliable data.- Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.- Read and interpret technical drawings, PID's, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.- Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.- Provide assistance and technical support to other UIG locations across the country as required, contributing to a unified approach to quality and operations.- This position
