Corporate Paralegal Job Details | Black & Veatch Family of Companies
Secretarial Duties** + Maintain corporate records and entity databases for U.S. and international subsidiaries. + Prepare and file annual reports, board resolutions, meeting minutes, and other corporate documentation. + Coordinate formation, dissolution, and restructuring of legal entities as needed. + Monitor corporate compliance deadlines and ensure timely filings with relevant authorities. + Assist in preparation and maintenance of corporate governance policies and internal procedures. + Maintain and update the organizational charts using appropriate tools and platforms. **Licensing Management** + Manage and maintain active engineering, contractor, and business licenses across states. + Track renewal dates and coordinate timely submissions to avoid lapses. + Liaise with regulatory agencies, licensing boards, and internal departments to ensure compliance. + Assist with applications for new licenses as business expands into new jurisdictions. **Additional Support** + Coordinate with internal legal counsel and external legal advisors as necessary. + Support legal team in other administrative or compliance-related tasks, including document management and audits. + Coordinate with key internal stakeholders across departments—including Tax, Treasury, and Sales—as needed to ensure alignment and support. **Preferred Qualifications** + Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training required. + Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate governance and corporate licensing. + Familiarity with the engineering and construction industry
