Perform integration and testing of new EMS upgrades, and softwarepatches. This may require travel and extended stays at Vendors factorysite.11. Maintains up-to-date documentation and procedures that define theoperability of the infrastructure.12. Provide departmental cross-training as well as assist in trainingDispatcher staff.13. Coordinate with external departments in the commissioning of fielddevices, ensuring correctness and accuracy of device inputs as itrelates to the Energy Management System and consistent with departmentalrequirements.14. Provide H/W support as required to ensure continuous operation ofcritical EMS functionality.15. Provides for hardware backup, and identifies additional requiredskills to include Fortran and SQL.16. Other ancillary duties related to the core functions of the job asassigned.REQUIREMENTS:Skills/Abilities:- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Self-motivated.- Proficiency to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- 24-hour standby req ired.- Willingness to broaden skill set to accommodate changing requirements.- Proficiency to work independently or in a group and willing to share- knowledge.- Proficiency using relational databases.- Provides support and guidance within the group.- Provides training within the group.Education/Experience:- Proficiency using a CAD program.- Able to analyze, debug and develop software programs using programming languages; C, C++, Fortran, perl, unix shell scripting and Visual Basic.- Proficiency with operating systems; Unix and Windows-2000.- Able to troubleshoot and
