In this key position, you will be a key part of a team dedicated to producing intricate engineering prototypes and innovative tooling essential for manufacturing. You will use your technical expertise to machine, fabricate, or otherwise produce components and assemblies to support on-time delivery of engineering models and tooling for our internal customer base. You will work closely with Lutron's tool and die journey people to bring exciting new products to market while ensuring prototypes and tooling produced meet the expected specifications and exhibit a world-class level of quality.**Responsibilities** - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.- Consistently wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task or job performed.- Maintain and uphold 5S standards in your designated work area.- Demonstrate familiarity with hand tools.- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.- Collaborate with a mentor to complete on-the-job training in all aspects of the trade.- Acquire foundational knowledge of manual machining, including associated tools and equipment.- Assist Tool and Die Makers with various projects.- Support Rapid Prototyping team members on projects.**Qualifications** - Education: - High School Diploma in process - must be enrolled in a technical vocational program - Associate's degree in process -- must be enrolled in a Tool and Die, CNC Machinist, Machine Tool Technology, or similar program with a minimum GPA of 3.00- Experience with HAAS and Trak machining centers
